We are just over a month away from Brendan's dance recital! I am excited about it. He has improved greatly over last year and he enjoys practicing at home. We got a sneak peek of the dances this week during class. As you can tell, he is one of the younger kids in his dance class this year. It is interesting to see him looking so short next to other kids since he is actually quite tall for his age.
For the ballet video, don't be alarmed if everything is upside down when you start. I had the camera upside down but luckily I realized this after a few seconds!

Splash!!
The boys are all taking swim classes at the moment and we are enjoying the pool time. The older boys are in a class and I am happy to say that they are handling Aidan just fine. For the first few weeks of class, either Scotte or I got in the pool with Aidan just to be sure they knew how he reacted to things and that he was comfortable. He has low muscle tone and his body just isn't quite the same in the water as other kids. I am really surprised and pleased that the teachers are handling him very well so we don't have to get in with him anymore. I'm sure one of us will continue to wear a bathing suit, just in case.
Brendan still hates to get water near his eyes, but he is getting a little better. I think both kids will take this particular class a couple of times.
Aidan is so funny! He is a little shy at swim class but we always come home and get a bath afterwards. He is a little crazy monkey in the bath. He practices floating on his back and he sticks his head in and practices holding his breath, etc. I know that for the time being I can't leave Aidan or Liam alone in the bath or near any body of water for even a second. Aidan is so flexible that he contorts into some strange positions in there, and Liam tries whatever he sees going on. I wonder what it will be like this summer when we get out the kiddie pool?
Liam is taking a Mommy (or Daddy)/Toddler swim class. We have been taking turns with him and he thinks it's great. We basically sing songs and splash around, then he practices jumping off the side.
Happy swimming!
