School Party

The boys had their school Halloween party last week and I was even more excited to attend than I had been in preschool.  In preschool I almost felt like I knew every move they made.  I was able to volunteer in the classroom and interact with the kids.  I knew the names of all the preschoolers within a few weeks and it was a very comfortable environment.  Kindergarten is a whole new ballgame!!  I still wouldn't recognize half of their classmates and they are having very long, exciting days.

Long story short, I should have just stuck with my first sentence.  I was excited to attend the Halloween party at school.

Mrs. Thompson was the most PERFECT Snow White I have ever seen.  Aidan was mesmerized; she had to keep reassuring him that she was really Mrs. Thompson.  I was impressed.

Because of our wacky Kindergarten schedule, it was only the Kindergarten students having their party that day, but the other classes still came out to watch the kids in their parade.
The parade was followed by cupcakes and games.  Aidan enjoyed the game where you have to balance an eyeball on a spoon and walk around with it; Brendan is still talking about the straw game they played.  I really have no idea what was going on because I was busy trying to convince Liam to stay in the stroller.  I lucked out that the the speech therapist at school, Mrs. Ryan, was there and she helped Aidan the entire time.  Liam was a handful!!  He calmed down once we discovered the Halloween books and I was able to read to him while the boys played.

Happy Halloween!  The kids were all so cute and I can't wait to get back to school again.
